How does Aparta’s solution differ from a mortgage?

Aparta offers co-ownership in your home. Whether you want to unlock value from your current home by selling a share to Aparta, or buy a new home together with Aparta.
A mortgage requires monthly payments, Aparta does not. We establish a co-ownership and become a professional co-owner until you buy back Aparta's share or the home is sold. You continue living in the entire home. When buying a home together with Aparta, you avoid the need to take up a bank mortgage on the share of the home that is owned by Aparta.
A usage fee applies to Aparta's share and is calculated monthly. Part of the usage fee is paid upfront, while the remainder can either be paid on an ongoing basis or accumulated and deducted at the end of the agreement period, so that you do not have ongoing monthly payments during the period.
